The actress won Miss Pre-Teen Virginia in 1991 and was the very first runner-up in Miss Junior America. Her acting continued through her senior years at Brooke Point High School where she was president of many clubs including the Honor Thespians group. When she was a junior, Cahill was the only student of her year to garner flawless scores throughout the entire process of her audition for the Governors School for the Arts for drama. At age 16 she also was awarded the title of Overall Actor at the Actors Models Talent for Christ contest. Additionally, she won both prizes for corporate and individual awards after being selected in the Barton and Williams Dance Company. When she graduated from high school in 1998, she began her studies in Marymount Manhattan College (New York) as a performer and academic arts scholarship. The college she attended was closed at the age of 19 to pursue an full-time acting career Los Angeles.
