Ina Garten is known as a well-known American writer of cook books for many decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina started her career as a writer for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. Although she initially found it fascinating, eventually she lost interest. So she purchased a Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food shop. It took her nearly 18 years to make her shop extremely successful before she sold the business. Then she began writing her first cookbook. In the following years, numerous cookbooks were published and she also contributed to magazine articles. Her Food Network television program also debuted and quickly became popular. The company also offers a wide range of items ranging from cooking materials to equipment and storage containers. Ina is not a student at any cookery school or employed in a restaurant, and she is completely self-taught. She is known as an easy cook, and also for her entertaining manner.
